Conservatorships

There are two types of conservatorships: Lanterman Petris-Short (Lanterman Petris Short act of 1967, referred to as LPS), in which a person who has been deemed gravely disabled by the court and unable to meet their basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter and probate conservatorships, of which there are two types:  

One a general conservatorships for a person who is unable to care for themselves and/or manage their estate and the second, a limited conservatorship for developmentally disabled adults.
